Note that Enter the Sandman is not on this CD or book, as is described on the Amazon product description. Otherwise the book is typical Hal Leonard quality, which is pretty doggone good, note for note transcription.Instead they have sub'd in 'When you were young' by The Killers.Comes with Amazing Slow Downer for OSX and Windows, at least a version tied to the CD... worth buying the full up ASD for $39, since the slow down is of higher audio quality and you can open any MP3s from the hard disk.For $10 this book is a great value.
Got this for my son, who loves Rock Band. He likes the songs, plays them all the time. It is great to have the music notated, though the songs are too many ages. (like 8 for one song). Drummers can't turn pages that quickly. The notation could have been simplified and repeat signs used which would facilitate much easier reading. But my main gripe is the play-along CD included has no words, no singer? Why would anyone want to jam along to an instrumental version of a Rock Song? I can only assume that there was a license fee involved, so the publisher cheaped out. Also you should know, the CD included is not the actual band playing, is it group of studio musicians. The drum charts are not for beginners. Lots of 16th notes and syncopation.

Yes, the play along tracks are without singing, yes the drum parts on the charts can be a little different from the original, but hey !? what's the use of these books, just try to understand the way to play such style I think, so the goal is reached, and quite well. There is a really big effort done on the mix and the sound, it doesn't sound cheap.Furthermore, not having the singing on the part is a good way to force you to stay concentrate and listen to the music another way. This book/CD is definitely a good deal.
This product makes learning fun, teaches you how to read notes, fun to play along with popular songs! Just love it! Can't wait to buy more!
I got this product to motivate my boyfriend to actually learn how to read music instead of just making things up on the set. It's easy to follow along and learn especially if you own the video game.
