Alexandria House knocks it out the park again!!!! It just keeps getting better and better :)! This is the 3rd book of the McClain series. Do yourself a favor; purchase and read the first two books. The first two books are also available in audio format for the audiobook lovers. Once again, I ended up with a book hangover because I couldn't put the book down until the wee hours in the morning. I was reunited with Big South, Jo, Uncle Lee, Nolan, Sage, Bridgette, & Neil. This book is about Bridgette and Nolan as they embark upon a kindred friendship, love of the arts and their dedication to family. Bridgette is a friend that all women should have in their lives because she is honest, loyal, loving, and willing to set it off if a suituation presence itself. I am fanning just thinking about Nolan with all of his fineness and complexities. WIth that said, take a journey with me and read how two kindred souls collide as they battle to fight their own personal demons but finds true friendship and love to see them through it all.
If I could give this book 10**** I would. I absolute love the McClain brothers. Nolan is the man with the connections. He didn't care about someone being his friend or anything. He was there to love and protect Bridgette through every situation that came her way. I was disappointed in their decision to not have children. I hope one day they will change their mind. It was great to catch up with the rest of the family, because I love me some big South and Leland. Uncle Lee Chester was back with his shenanigans. Him and his tips about sex was hilarious. It was also glad to see more of Neil in this story. I cant wait to read his story. Maybe he will help Sage out of her situation. Once again Ms. House did not disappoint us with this story. Her books keep your attention and keep you wanting more. I definitely recommend her books.
I've read all of the books by this author and I have yet to be disappointed by her writing and this book was no different. Nolan seemed quiet in comparison to his rapper big brother Big South or his athletic younger basketball playing brother Leland but he definitely held his own. In fact he may have even been a little more dangerous than his brothers especially when it came to his Bridgette. He pulled no punches when it came to her especially after she became his. Just like with his brothers they move quick when they find the woman than love and he and Bridgette moved fast but I loved how their relationship progressed, They were both good for each other. Now I hope we get to see Neil 's story and I'm wondering if Sage will be the one for him at least I'm hoping so. In the meantime the commic relief Uncle Lee..........that man is CRAZY with all his antics and I absolutely adore him and hope we get to see more of him.
This book did not grip me like the first two books in the series and took me several days to read, which is unlike me for this author. I usually devour her books. I love â¤ï¸ me some Big South and Fastlane. Nolan is the least favorite of the brothers. Even Neil appears more interesting. I could not connect with Nolan character at all. Bridgette was Bridgette since I liked her from book one because she was funny and about her business. Bridgette was more interesting than Jo IMO.Bridgette came with a lot of baggage and when a person protests too much of not wanting something there’s a story behind it. Author Alexandria always try to give us a aah hah moment, but this time I figured Bridgette situation. To me Nolan came across very insecure and the reasoning why he dated a different race for ten long years to me was mind boggling, but will get upset when someone brings it up. That is his insecurities all da way.With family like Bridgette who needs enemies IJS.I’m looking forward to Neil’s tortured journey and the reason why him and Emery broke up. I’m praying 🙠that Sage is NOT Neil’s love interest because Iâ€m so not connecting with Sage at all!! Sage is described as “shortâ€, so “short†that she needs help sitting on a bar stool. What is Sage 4’ tall LOL 😂.Now I’ve saved the best for last ~~~~ drum 🥠roll please. My boy Uncle Lee Chester that man is a hoot that he had me hollering when he was giving Nolan advice. I had to visit You Tube to recall the song and I was laughing so hard that my side hurt. Uncle Lee Chester you are the man â¤ï¸ðŸ’¯.
Love these McClain Brothers. Wasn't quite sure what to expect from Nolan, since he's so different from South and Leland, but he definitely had his own swag. Loved how nervous and off his game Bridgette made him.So happy that Nolan and Neil are working things out. Their fights were funny, but it's time for the twins to get it together.Bridgette was already my girl, and this book made me love her even more. She had survived hell, but she's still standing. And thriving. I'm glad that she was able to get some closure with her grandmother.I was hoping that Kat was going to get her HEA, but was totally surprised by who she's getting it with. Seems like an odd choice, but if she's happy, I'm happy.I'm really looking forward to Neil's story. He's got so much going on, and my nosey self is dying to know what happened with him and Emery. Can't wait to see what a healthy, fully functioning Neil looks like. And curious to see who he ends up with.Another good installment. And oh yeah, #freeSage! How you gone do our girl like this, Ms. House? I KNOW whatever you have planned for Sage is gonna be crazy and I'm here for it!
