About the Author
Rémi Lopez graduated with a degree in Japanese from Bordeaux III University. In 2004, he cut his teeth as an author when he wrote website columns on video game soundtracks. Was super hyped to get this book as an avid FF8 lover, but was disappointed. Even though I preordered this 5+ months ago, I eagerly open this purchase to find a book that’s in a previously owned condition. I purchased this to read and put on display, but alas a book in this condition finds a better home in a dark closet :(
I got this as a gift. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the book came quite late after the release date. BUT, let me tell you, I am so happy to have this. I am a big FF VIII fan. I fell in love it when I was 13 and still love it at 29. I love this book for the background and the tidbits you wouldn't get otherwise and the section on theories is quite interesting. Aside from the FF Ultimania Vol. 2 (which barely gives any info on 8) this is a great way to get some of the story pieces that may have been missed before. I'm definitely going back for another play through now.
Great book full of insight about the game and it's world, characters, and development.
